Introducing Folders on the Account Page

We’re excited to announce that the new Account Page with Folders is now live! 🎉

We heard your feedback

One of the most consistent requests we’ve heard from users is the need for better organization. As more and more models accumulate in your account, scrolling through long, flat lists makes it harder to keep track of projects, import the right models, and collaborate effectively with your team.

Why it matters

Products — and their many variants — are inherently complex. They rely on dozens (sometimes hundreds) of components and constituent LCAs, all of which need to be modeled, linked, and managed over time.

As your inventory of LCA models grows, scaling can quickly become a challenge:

  • Finding the right model to import or link is time-consuming.
  • Large accounts with multiple projects risk getting bogged down in clutter.
  • Collaboration across teams is harder when models are scattered or inconsistently organized.

Folders solve these challenges by providing a clear structure. They reduce the friction of searching for models, simplify linking, and keep everything tidier — whether you’re managing a single complex product or several simultaneous projects with your team.

Behind the scenes: our design philosophy

This feature came directly from customer feedback, collected through testing sessions, roadmap conversations, and day-to-day usage.

Folders are part of a larger push to make CarbonGraph the easiest platform for managing a suite of LCAs online. Whether you're developing full, ISO-conformant LCAs with a third party verification, or rapidly deploying Lite LCAs to make operational decisions, our focus is on:

  • Making navigation and organization intuitive.
  • Enabling scale as accounts grow.
  • Building a foundation for richer collaboration across organizations.

Use cases

Here are just a few examples of how we expect folders to help:

  • Consultants can organize projects by client, keeping everything clean and separated.
  • Manufacturers can group models for each product line and its variants, along with supporting processes.
  • Teams working on R&D can keep experimental models distinct from production-ready ones.

Customer voices

“As we scale across multiple clients, the account page can get cluttered quickly. Being able to group models into client-level folders will really help us stay focused during project work.”

“When we’re on calls and screen-sharing, we don’t want to distract clients with other projects in progress. Having a way to control visibility and hide certain models is going to be a big win.”

“The ability to navigate down to a client-specific folder makes it easier to manage iterations and ongoing work without losing track of what’s ready to share.”

How it works

When you log in, you’ll notice your account page looks a little different:

  • On the left, you’ll now see your folders. These can be created, renamed, and reordered to fit your workflow.
  • On the right, you’ll see all of your LCA models, which you can assign to folders for better organization.
  • You can collapse and expand folders to keep things tidy and focus only on the projects you need.

Looking ahead

The introduction of folders is just the first step in strengthening account-level organization and collaboration. Next up, we’re working on:

  • Collaboration within organizations — assigning permissions and managing visibility at the folder level.
  • Publishing folders publicly — making it possible to share industry-wide average models or open reference models with the broader CarbonGraph community.
  • Bulk actions and saved views — streamlining management of larger accounts.

Try it today

Folders are available in your account now. Start creating, renaming, and organizing to see how much easier it is to manage your models.

This is just the beginning of a more collaborative and organized CarbonGraph experience. We’d love your feedback — let us know what you think, and what would make folders even more powerful for your work.
